Andrea Cornell is a police detective in the American version of Secrets and Lies. Played by American actress Juliette Lewis, Detective Cornell makes her debut in the series' premiere episode, "The Trail", in the series' first season. The top Homicide Detective for the Charlotte Mecklenberg County Police Department, her commitment to justice is unparalleled, so it's no wonder she has the highest close rate in her department. When 5-year-old Tom Murphy is murdered, Cornell embarks upon an unrelenting pursuit of the offender, who she believes, from early on, is Ben. Her unwavering dedication to her job makes her the most formidable opponent - or a highly valuable ally. Last seen in the series' finale episode, "The Lie", Andrea realizes it wasn't Ben who killed Tom, and vows to bring the true killer to justice.
Personality[]
She is a by-the-book cop. She is similar to Lois Lane from Superman series and Kate Beckett from Castle. At first she thought Ben was the killer. She found out the truth, it was her daughter Abby. Ben turned himself into the police and died in prison. She already figure out it was Abby and she will do whatever it takes to put her behind her bars. Just like Kate Beckett she doesn't like civilians interfering in police business. Is the main reason, why she is an uptight bitch. She also has an estrange relationship with her ex-husband and her daughter Jennifer who is in jail.

Cornell's Clues & Cornell Confidential[]
While the story is presented to where the viewer is taking the place of Ben Crawford, a series of webisodes, or web-only mini-episodes, put you in the place of Andrea Cornell. Part of a multi-platform marketing campaign, Clues were presented after each episode, and the ten webisodes, available after each showing, took behind the scenes to show interviews with characters not seen on screen. Clues are generally high-res images of each clue, helping to provide the most complete "Secrets and Lies" viewing experience possible.
